Neurodivergence

A space designed for neurodivergent young people to learn in ways that work for them

As a parent, you may be thinking:

  • Why is home the place where everything falls apart?
  • I'm grateful that I'm my child's safe space, but I don't know how to help without making things worse.
  • They’re struggling with emotional regulation, social skills, or self esteem.
  • Why are the things that worked for other children not working for this one?

Neurodivergence isn’t a problem to solve, it’s a difference to understand so that we can put systems into place to support your neurodivergent young person and your family.

In therapy, I help young people unmask safely, explore what works for them, and develop practical skills for everyday life. That means learning how to name, respond to, and communicate their feelings. It also might mean improving executive functioning, or identifying sensory needs to support them in self-advocacy.  The aim of this work is to build your child's confidence, by reducing shame and increasing self-understanding.
