Evidence-based support for kids and teens who have big feelings

Young people may not always have the words for what they’re feeling, but their behaviors often speak volumes. My job is to listen to both.

To support your child or teen’s growth, I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT), and Mindfulness.

At the same time, I leverage your child's strengths and interests to adapt each intervention for that young person. Some sessions we might be playing basketball or uno, and others they might be drawing on the whiteboard or curled up in the bean bag chair. At the end of the day, we're always working towards our goals using evidence-based strategies.
