Learning Difficulties & School Challenges

For kids and teens who are trying their best, but still struggling to keep up

You might be thinking:

  • Homework takes hours and ends in arguments or tears.
  • I don’t know what to ask for to support my child at school.
  • Is this school the right fit for my child?

Learning difficulties don’t mean a young person isn’t smart; when the way they think or process information doesn’t match how they’re being asked to learn, school can quickly become a source of stress, shame, and self-doubt.

In therapy, I help children and teens understand how their brain works, so they can stop blaming themselves and start building strategies designed for them. Whether the challenge is related to attention, executive functioning, anxiety, communication, or an undiagnosed learning difference, we work together to identify where things are breaking down and how to support those areas with compassion and clarity.

Because school is such a big part of your child’s world, I collaborate with families to help communicate with the adults on your child's team. We work together to request the right kinds of accommodations, and advocate for the support your child needs to thrive in the classroom.

Your child deserves to feel capable, curious, and confident in how they learn. Let’s help them get there.
