I work with "big feelings"

Evidence-based counseling for young people with big feelings. Designed to build confidence, connection, and real-world coping tools.

You’re here because you care—because watching your child struggle is hard, and you want to help. The world isn’t built for neurodiverse minds, and that can make things feel overwhelming, frustrating, or isolating.

My role is to support both you and your child in making sense of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Using evidence-based strategies, I help young people feel empowered by having insight into their emotions, appropriately communicate their feelings to adults and peers, and have a tool box to use in response.

Counseling is a team effort, and I’m here to collaborate with you and your child. Let’s create a plan to empower your family, both in and beyond our work together.

Curious if we’re a good fit? Schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation at 704-266-0890.

I begin every relationship by meeting with parents to gather a holistic understanding of the young person and goals for our work together. Next, I meet with the young person to ensure that we are a good fit, as research shows that the client-therapist relationship is a significant factor in treatment outcomes.

We then build an individualized treatment plan using evidence-based interventions to outline our path towards those goals. You receive a message after each session outlining the tools and language your child has learned to support you in implementing them at home, and we meet every 4-6 weeks to assess our progress.
